Performance Programme
Ages 13-17

The Performance Programme is designed for ambitious players seeking to maximise their potential within cricket. These sessions mirror many of the principles used within professional cricket environments, combining specialist coaching, athletic development and performance preparation. Players receive individualised support technically, nutritionally and physically, and are encouraged to take responsibility for their own development whilst working within a challenging and supportive environment.

Technical Excellence

Players work extensively on developing:

-          Advanced Batting Techniques

-          Pace and Spin bowling development

-          Wicketkeeping skills

-          Fielding and Throwing performance

-          Skill execution under pressure

Strength and Conditioning

Physical development becomes increasingly important as players mature. Sessions may include:

-          Strength and Power Development

-          Speed and Acceleration

-          Mobility and Movement

-          Injury Prevention Strategies

-          Recovery and Workload Management

Performance Intelligence

Players develop an understanding of:

-          Match Tactics

-          Opponent Analysis

-          Decision-making under pressure

-          Competition Preparation

-          Reviewing Performance and Setting Goals

Nutrition and Physiotherapy Support

Players will benefit from education and support around nutrition recovery injury prevention and physical well-being. We aim to help players develop healthy habits around fuelling, hydration and recovery, whilst also understanding the importance of mobility movement quality and workload management. Our integrated approach helps players build resilience, reduce injury risk and develop the physical foundations required to perform consistently and enjoy long term success in the game.

Individual Development

Every player progresses differently.

Our coaches work closely with players to identify strengths, create development priorities and support long term improvement. For some, this may lead towards County Academy or Professional opportunities. For others it provides the skills and confidence to continue enjoying cricket at the highest level available to them.

Advanced coaching for focused cricketers, our limited-space, two-day intensive course for junior cricketers aged 9-11.

There will be cricket focused training throughout the day with skill-based learning, technical coaching and game-based competition.  As competition becomes more important, we will encourage players to focus on playing to win while emphasising the Spirit of Cricket.

Through a combination of warm-ups, fielding practice, and games, we will introduce strength and flexibility exercises, to improve their range of movements.

Our coaching style, centered around Games for Understanding, will promote problem-solving and enhance creative thinking while teaching the full range of cricket skills in a safe and fun environment. 

The course includes a hard ball element, and it is expected that the participants will bring their own kit and be familiar with hard ball play.

This course will also include a tour of the Historic Lord's ground, including the Museum, Pavilion and Players Changing Rooms (subject to other events around the ground on these days). Players will get an unprecedented insight into the history of the 'Home of Cricket', unique to the Lord’s experience.

This one-day tournament will last from 9:30am to 4pm and will be a full day of competitive cricket with only participants from our regular term-time U10, U11 and U12 courses taking part. 

Women's Performance Programme - Autumn 2026, November 13 - December 11

Adult 18+

Lord's Cricket Ground

We are delighted to be offering a women-only training environment
aimed at club, county pathway and aspiring performance players looking to
develop their game within a structured and challenging setting. 

Sessions run for two hours and will be delivered by MCC coaches, providing players with access to high-quality coaching and
support throughout the winter.

5-Week Training Block:

Cost: £200 

The Programme includes:

• Fielding development

• Specialist batting and bowling workshops

• Competitive nets and bat-vs-ball scenarios

• Tactical and strategic understanding of the women's game

• Strength and conditioning support delivered alongside our S&C coaches

A key objective is attracting strong players into the
programme, creating an environment where the standard of training is driven by
the quality of the group.
